Vision without Frontiers - Sehen ohne Grenzen |
"Vision without Frontiers" is a non-profit association, which was founded by the ophthalmologists Christoph Faschinger and Martin Eckhardt, Graz, Austria in 2000. The members and co-workers of this association visit and work in countries with less medical support to perform eye surgeries and to bring ophthalmic supplies. 37 million people are blind so far (WHO 2003), half of them due to a cataract, an opacification of the lens. This disease may by effectively operated to restore vision and to give people back their dignity and independence.
